Holmewood

Airedon is very pleased to report on a success at Appeal on behalf of Gleeson regarding boundary treatments at a site in Holmewood, near Chesterfield.  The Local Planning Authority had asked Gleeson to change the proposed fencing to the emergency access to brick wall, or threatened that the whole planning application would be refused, so it was changed on the plans.  Gleeson immediately sought to return back to their proposed fencing but this was delayed, and they ended up erecting the fence as proposed.  Eventually the planning application to amend the details was registered, the application refused, and Airedon submitted the appeal.  The Inspector agreed with Airedon that fences were part of the variety of boundary treatments common in the area and that the visual impact of the fencing would not have an adverse impact upon the visual amenity of the area.
